
How to Apply for Bursuries
ASTTBC/FEAT bursaries are available from two sources. The following information applies only to the bursaries that are available directly from FEAT.
(Students in eligible technology programs at BCIT, Camosun College, Kwantlen University College, Okanagan College, Thompson Rivers University, and Vancouver Community College should also check with the Awards Office of their college or their instructors about ASTTBC/FEAT bursaries that are awarded by the colleges).

ASTTBC Bursary for a High School Student
who is a Child/Grandchild of an ASTTBC Member
One $1,000 bursary is offered each year. To apply, submit the following:
- Your name, address and other contact information
- Name and registrant number of your parent/grandparent who is an ASTTBC member
- Name of your high school and confirmation you are in final year
- Recent course marks
- ASTTBC and/or CTAB accredited technology program and institute or college you plan to attend
- A brief statement on your career goals (max 100 words)
- Optional - any community involvement; other interests; financial constraints; or references you may wish to provide that will help the selection committee get to know you better.
Note: The recipient of this ASTTBC/FEAT bursary will be notified by September, however the bursary cheque is only issued after proof of enrollment in an eligible technology program is received.

ASTTBC Wade Wicks Memorial Bursary
One $1,000 bursary is offered each year. This bursary is in memory of Wade Wicks, a young man who maintained a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude in spite of his struggles with muscular dystrophy. This bursary is intended for students who are overcoming any significant or extraordinary obstacle to pursue an education in technology, with priority being given to students with physical challenges.
Applicants must be enrolled in (or about to enroll in) an ASTTBC and/or CTAB accredited applied science technology program at BCIT or any college in British Columbia. Financial need will be considered by the selection committee in years where there is more than one qualified applicant. Applicants and recipients may apply in more than one year. Eligible students may apply directly, or instructors or others may apply on the student’s behalf.
To apply, submit the following:
- Your name, address and other contact information
- Proof of enrollment in eligible technology program (photocopy of registration receipt or similar documentation)
- Recent course marks
- A brief statement on the challenge(s) you are dealing with and your goals (max 400 words)
- Optional - any community involvement; other interests; financial constraints; or references you may wish to provide that will help the selection committee get to know you better.

ASTTBC First Nations Bursary
Eligibility & Criteria
A First Nations resident of BC who is a first or second year student in a ASTTBC and/or CTAB accredited technology program. Bursary selection will be based on educational studies, community involvement, financial need, a written statement on career goals and the applicant resume.
To apply, submit the following:

ASTTBC/Terasen Gas First Nations Bursaries
Terasen Gas in partnership with FEAT and ASTTBC are pleased to present the Terasen Gas First Nations bursaries. In total, there are up to three bursaries that will be awarded to a First Nations student pursuing a career in applied science or engineering technology at one of BC’s technical institutes or colleges.
Eligibility & Criteria
First Nations resident of BC who is a full-time student enrolled in any technology program accredited by ASTTBC and/or CTAB. Bursary selection will be based on a written statement on career goals, community involvement and financial need.

ASTTBC/TD Insurance Technology Bursaries
TD Insurance is the affinity partner with ASTTBC for home insurance at group rates. In recognition of the long-standing working relationship between the two organizations, TD Insurance is supporting a new bursary program to assist tomorrow’s technology professionals.
Three bursaries, each valued at $1,000 will be granted to chosen applicants from ASTTBC and/or CTAB accredited technology programs at British Columbia colleges and institutes. The ASTTBC/TD Insurance Technology Bursaries are awarded through ASTTBC’s charitable foundation, the Foundation for Education & Advancement in Technology.
